US Rugby Foundation Joins Collegiate Rugby Championship as Sponsor

The US Rugby Foundation has joined National Collegiate Rugby as a sponsor of the 2022 Collegiate Rugby Championships (CRC), known as May Madness 7s.

The Collegiate Rugby Championships is the largest collegiate rugby event in the country with 100 rugby 7s teams. The national championship will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 28 - 30, in New Orleans at Shrine on Airline Stadium.

“As a Foundation, we are happy to support the gathering of young college rugby players from all corners of the country for May Madness 7s,” said US Rugby Foundation President, Brian Vizard. “We want to be a part of the madness and continue to make an impact in the rugby community.”

During the CRC, the Foundation will be present to inform rugby players, coaches, referees, parents and the like about the grant programs offered, as well as showcasing the work the Foundation is doing to continue the growth of grassroots rugby in America.

Jeremy Treece, National Collegiate Rugby CEO, commented “the US Rugby Foundation has been instrumental in the growth of college rugby throughout the years. We could not be more thrilled to have them as a sponsor of May Madness and continue to be a pivotal player in the rugby pathway.”
