Lindenwood and Florida Qualify for the Men’s Premier Cup

The first two men’s teams to qualify for the 2022 Collegiate Rugby Championship are three-time defending champion Lindenwood University and Florida Rugby Conference champion, University of Florida.

The Lions return for their fifth CRC. And, like the Lindenwood women, the men are looking for a fourth-consecutive title, with each team having reeled off titles in 2018, 2019 and 2021. The Gators are back in the big dance for the first time since 2013, having defeated Florida Atlantic 17-10 in overtime of the conference final to punch their ticket. Florida competed in three of the first four CRCs in Columbus and Philadelphia.

Several more teams are set to automatically qualify for May Madness via three regional events in the coming weeks: a 29-team tournament at Notre Dame this Saturday; April 2nd’s 16-team competition hosted by Major League Rugby’s New England Free Jacks; and, a tournament out west hosted by Boise State.
