BOYDS, Md. – Yesterday morning, 16 teams embarked on a journey, and they all dreamed of the same ending. While 15 of those teams ended up disappointed, Slippery Rock saw their dreams become reality as they shut out Denver 17-0 in the Men’s Division III final.
SEAHAWKS SEE THEIR WAY TO TWO IN A ROW
BOYDS, Md. – The Cup finals in the Men’s Division was an all-Carolina affair as UNC Wilmington out of the north faced off with Coastal Carolina out of the southern state. While the two teams were scoreless through the intermission, Wilmington came through with a try with about two and a half minutes remaining to pick up the 7-0 win and the National Championship.
CARDS OVER COCKS FOR DI-AA TITLE
BOYDS, Md. – The Division I-AA final was an affair for the birds as the Cardinals of Louisville faced off with the South Carolina Gamecocks. Louisville took off to a 14-0 lead at the intermission thanks to a pair of first half tries. The Cardinals extended the lead to 26-0 and while South Carolina added a pair of consolation tries, Louisville brought home the National Championship with a 26-12 victory.
