The path to May Madness will include a mix of conference-based qualifier tournaments, regionally-based automatic qualifiers and at-large bids awarded by a selection committee. The men’s qualification pathway and women’s qualification pathway require teams to meet specific deadlines and be members of National Collegiate Rugby to accept a bid.
Teams can book their ticket to New Orleans by winning an Automatic Qualifier. Currently, there are over 25 Automatic Qualification tournaments across the country.
